Maison Des Ribieres - Confolens

Our Bed and Breakfast/Chambre D'hotes is perfectly situated for the annual Folklore Festival, held each August.

Whilst the property dates back to the late 17th century, it has been lovingly renovated to offer the highest standards of comfort and elegance. We have tried to maintain the historical features of the house, by keeping the original oak waxed flooring, beams, fireplaces and even by introducing original antique beds (new matresses of course!)

We are approximately 4 kilometres from the village of St Germain de Confolens, which boasts its own stunningly beautiful ruined castle.

Confolens boasts many leisure activities, a large swimming pool complex, tennis courts, horse riding, canoe and childrens activity clubs.

Within easy reach are the Roman Baths at Chassenon and the Mines D'argent at Melle, for historians.

The larger towns of Angouleme, Poitiers and Limoges (all with regular flights to and from the uk) are about an hour's drive

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
