Overview

This apartment is a self-contained unit above our restaurant, comprising:
a kitchen/diner and salon - with futon sofa beda bedroom with a double and a single beda bathroom with sink, toilet and bath with shower over. The floors are all 400 year old oak, but the beds are modern. The property overlooks the main thoroughfare of Confolens, through 3 windows. As the building is stone it is cool in summer.Confolens is in the centre of the beautiful Charente region of France and many Chateaux, Lakes, Museums (including Roman Baths) and historic cities are within easy reach.

Location & area

Rue de la Ferrandie runs parallel to the river Vienne, it is a one way street which leads off the market - and town hall - square.

Coming into Confolens from the North you arrive at the square then if you drive through you have no choice but to pass our front door (The restaurant is called La Marmite) If you park in the square we are only a 50m walk.

If you enter the town from any other direction you just follow the signs to Centre Ville, and then you will come to the square as above.
