Overview

Chalet in a fabulous location, located directly on the ski piste. Situated above the pretty Alpine village of Les Houches but with easy access to the town. Excellent accommodation with en-suite bedrooms all with French doors leading onto balconies. Stunning views of the Mont Blanc Range and the valley below. The chalet has an open log fire with a fireside library, a hot tub with superb panoramic views, and a BBQ kitchen. A bright spacious lounge and dining area has six patio doors leading to the garden, and a picture window overlooking the Chamonix Valley. There is also a 42' plasma screen TV with UK Sky. Free unlimited internet connection and WiFi. Heated ski room in winter. Extensive private grounds with lots of parking. Maison Jaune is offered catered, self catered or B&B.

Location & area

Piste Side location for true ski-in ski-out. Located just an hours drive from Geneva airport, at the entrance to the Chamonix Valley, and barely 2 minute drive above the pretty alpine village of Les Houches. All year round resort, at the foot of Mont Blanc, Les Houches makes an ideal base for every kind of mountain activity. For Mountain Bikers there are dedicated graded trials and the lifts are open to give access to some serious downhill!! For Walkers of all abilities there are low level valley walks to high altitude mountain tracks. For Climbers there are valley floor bolted climbs or High Mountain multi pitch climbs. Winter - Les Houches becomes home to the 'Kandahar' downhill ski races. Les Houches offers some excellent skiing for beginners and intermediates, on groomed, tree lined pistes. There are plenty of delightful piste side restaurants offering a wide variety of locally produced foods and wines, often served by an open fire.
