Overview

During the renovation phase of Chalet Les Pelerins in 2007, we committed to environmental consciousness and work hard to be a "green chalet." We are the first in Chamonix to utilize solar panels for heating water and vigilantly manage our energy usage and recyclables. Although our design renovations have incorporated modern-era technologies, we focused on maintaining many of the original features and much of the chalet's classic French alpine charm remains intact.

The highly flexible layout permits the Chalet to be used as a large full-catered accommodation, or can be separated into fully equipped, self-catered apartments.

Within the chalet grounds is a 1300sqm garden, ample parking for 6 cars, a 40sqm granite terrasse, landscaped beds and a lawn large enough for a good game of football! From the garden and terrasse, virtually 360 degree views of the mountains await visitors, including a perfect vantage for Mont Blanc sunsets.

Similarly, we pride ourselves on the quality of our food and have a wonderful chef with a wide repertoire, so any special requests/dietary requirements can be catered for (please indicate at time of booking). Dinners are a highly social event with guests sharing wine and stories in the large lower level dining area.

Airport Transfers (included for full-catered), bookings for instruction/guiding, acquiring ski passes/equipment hire and insider knowledge of the area on and off the slopes can be readily offered.

Chamonix is widely regarded as the skiing and alpine capital of the world. As a destination it has a reputation for the extreme and, whilst undoubtedly true, can overshadow a wide array of sporting and leisure activities, great nightlife, and superb scenery that can be enjoyed at whichever pace suits you. Chamonix is the perfect place to come for a weekend break, a week's holiday, a season, or a lifetime, as you will never run out of things to do or tire of the views! The lively streets of Chamonix are a colourful mix of sport shops, guide offices, restaurants, bars and cafés. Every Saturday the town hosts an outdoor market brimming with local crafts and produce. On bad weather days there is a cinema, a bowling alley, an ice rink, a large sports centre with a pool, gym and indoor climbing wall, as well as numerous museums.



Situated in the Haute-Savoie region of France, Chamonix is bordered by Switzerland and Italy and dominated by the incredible Aiguilles de Chamonix mountain chain which peaks at the top of Mont Blanc (4810m), the highest in Western Europe.



Chalet Les Pelerins is located a genuine and pleasant stroll (10 min.)from Place Balmat, the very heart of Chamonix. The chalet is set back from Rte des Pelerins, and is in a quiet, tranquil part of town.



Very near-by, you have the “Chamonix Sud” bus stop, from where the resort buses serve all the ski areas in the valley. The nearest bar (less than 5 min. walk) is the “Jeckyll” - – always a good après ski venue. The nearest restaurant (next door to the Jeckyll) is the excellent and highly regarded “l’Impossible” -



The main bakery of Chamonix “Fournil Chamoniard” is just 3 min. walk away. It opens from 0600 in the morning to get your baguettes & croissants, but be warned, the cake selection is highly addictive!
