Overview

Spacious town house with a roof terrace and enclosed central courtyard. Situated at the foot La Cite the house is within a few minutes walk of the historic castle, modern city centre and all amenities.
This characteristically quaint town house sits mid way along an immaculately kept French street with friendly neighbours always on hand to bid you a cordial bon jour. The house consist of a kitchen/ dining room; lounge; two spacious bedrooms, one with large ensuite bath/shower room with wash basin and toilet.Bedroom2 has a connecting door to the main shower and toilet.There is a small single room accessed from the top bedroom. All rooms radiate off the central courtyard which leads to the private and sunny roof terrace with barbeque. We don't claim a view of the castle but stretch your neck you will see just how close you are to this spectacular world heritage site, you will feel you could almost touch it.There are small shops and supermarkets at either end of the street, restaurants, galleries, museums craft and gift shops all within a 150m. The heart of the historic La Cite is less than 500 yards away with the modern city a 15 minute walk via the lovely Pont Vieux across the picturesque river Aude.CARCASSONNE There are a many restaurants within a few minutes walk as well as a patisisseries, clubs, galleries, museums craft and gift shops all within a 150m of the front door.There is no need for a car as Carcassonne offers shops, markets, theatres and excellent public transport.
Carcassonne is a perfect base to explore this historical area as well as easy access to the coast for the many beaches and the Pyrenees/Ariege area for skiing and walking. There are the Cathar castles, Montagne Noir, Minervois, Corbieres, Toulouse, Beziers, Montpelier, Perpignan, Narbonne and the beach resorts.
As well as the magnificent medieval city of Carcassonne (La Cité is a World Heritage Site), and the Bastide St Louis, with their many restaurants and great shopping facilities, there is the Lac de la Cavayére 10 minutes away for swimming, boating, sailing and windsurfing, as well as golf available at Carcassonne and Castelnaudary.
