Overview

-bold}Les Jardins du Cabardes are 3 gites in a modern building adjoining the owner's house. Fully fitted kitchens mean housekeeping is a breeze, and the availability of a TV (French language channels) and a Region 2 DVD player plus a selection of family-friendly English DVD's mean that there is always entertainment.
The swimming pool is kept in beautiful order and the surrounding garden has shelter for most of the day in which to use the loungers and tables provided. There are also barbecues in the garden and shared washing machines with a lot of hanging space.
Two of the gites have open balconies (at street level) which overlook the garden (which lies below street level and is very secluded)
Jenny and Daniel are perfect hosts - both friendly and accommodating. Any glitches are fixed promptly and uncomplainingly.
The gites are only a few minutes' drive outside Carcassonne to the north of the airport but overlook roling open countryside with the Pyrenees clearly visible in the distance.
Our gite had one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is also provision to convert the sofa into another large double bed. There is one other gite which mirrors this one as well as a one bedroom gite with a sofa bed (but no balcony)
This is certainly a gite which we hope to return to in future
