Two bedroom apartment located at foot of Carcassonne Medieval Cité. Exceptional views of the Cité from bedroom & living room window. Apartment has been renovated to a very high contemporary standard whilst maintaining character (exposed beams,terracotta tiles). Rue de la Gaffe is a quiet medieval street and is mentioned in Kate Moss' Labryinth. Apartment is located on first floor of small apartment building which has friendly English owners. The other apartments are also exclusively for holiday rentals.

Rue de la Gaffe is a few minutes walk from the Medieval Cité & the Bastide St Louis (city centre) both which have a wide selection of shops,bars & restaurants. The Canal du Midi & river are also very close & provide great picnic spots. You can buy fresh bread from the local boulangeries & a variety of fresh produce at the market. Free local parking (2 mins. walk). A car is not necessary, but if you wish to explore further afield, the autoroute is 5 minutes & you can reach the coast in 40 minutes.
