Overview
Located in the Lot Valley, near Cahors, Teranga is a genuine 19th century manor house. You'll enjoy the shade of the century old vines on the terrace, and you'll appreciate relaxing in the cedar grove and in the garden which enjoys a view of the hills winding along the river Lot.
The sitting-room, the dining-room and the bedrooms have all been lovingly restored in keeping with the atmosphere of this family house where generations have spent happy vacations.
A gourmet breakfast, complete with homemade cakes, jams, cereals and fresh fruit, is served every morning for the bed and breakfast guests in the dining-room or on the terrace facing the pool.
If you seek authenticity and art de vivre, you'll love our region. It overflows with delightful towns, hilltop villages, lovely rivers, prehistoric sites, excellent cuisine, good weather- and so much more.

You can visit : Cahors, beautiful medieval city and its secret gardens, the 13th century Valentre bridge (a UNESCO heritage site), Saint Cirq Lapopie one of the most beautiful villages in France, the prehistoric caves of Pech Merle, Padirac cave, Rocamadour, and a lot of castles, churches in picturesque villages perched high on hills or nestled in the bends of rivers.
What you can do : Trekkers can explore the area's walking paths (GR 35, GR 65), and horse riders or cross-country bikers can be accommodated, too. Or you can take advantage of the Lot and the Cel' rivers to go fishing, canoeing or kayaking. You can even go on a lazy river cruise and discover the Lot's extensive system of locks. There are so many things to do in the Lot !
To go out : many museums, concerts, Blues Festival, classical music Saint Cere festival etc.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
