We are surrounded by fabulous tourist sites; the historic medieval market town of Argenton sur Creuse is just 8 km and Chateauroux, the capital of Indre (Department 36), is located within 30 km. The Eguzon lake-park and the Three Lakes district with their stunning views is just up river with its variety of water sports is a 20-minute drive, closer to hand, the Brenne National park is minutes away. We have all the information available for you to make the most of your stay in our region and we are happy to assist in any way.



We are located near the Limousin, and are resident English and French speaking owners of this Bed and Breakfast, holiday, vacation, stop over chambres d'Hotes, Farmhouse near to Argenton sur Creuse, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon and La Souterraine, chaillac, just off the main A20 motorway, autoroute, between Paris, Toulouse, Limoges.

Our accommodation is spacious and comfortable with bedrooms suitable for families, pets and we are disabled friendly. Alarm clock radios, hair dryers and bottled water are just a few of the amenities offered. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can make your stay more comfortable.



Rose Bedroom -bedroom 1: First floor location- the largest of our accommodations, this stylishly decorated room features a double bed and an additional day bed with en-suite double shower. It offers views of the garden and expansive countryside. The connecting door to the adjacent Leaf bedroom makes it ideal for families.



Leaf Bedroom - bedroom 2: First floor location- a sweet-cosy Twin bedroom with lovely views of the garden and stunning countryside. This bedroom has exclusive use of the hall bathroom featuring a jet bath. In addition a connecting door to the adjacent Rose bedroom makes a perfect family suite.



The Wine Cellar- bedroom 3: This bedroom has recently been refurbished retaining much of its original character. It is disabled friendly and offers a wet room with shower and double bed.



Yellow Bedroom - bedroom 4: Located on the ground floor and tastefully decorated, this bedroom offers total comfort and relaxation. It is a full en-suite with bath & double bed.



Appletons is open all year round, prices are charged per room per night and include breakfasts. Please contact us directly regarding negotiable rates for extended stays and regular visits.



Table d'Hotes- evening meals- are on offer every night. We would love for you to join us, just let us know by 10:00 am if you would like to dine in that evening. However, to help assist in planning our menus we do prefer when ever possible to confirm dinner arrangements prior to your arrival. As mentioned, we make every effort to use exclusively produce from our own organic vegetable gardens and organic meats from a local farmer.

We offer a variety of cuisines and with advance notice can cater to any dietary needs and vegetarian dishes. We begin the evening with aperitifs around 7:30pm (timing is flexible) and dinner served shortly there after. Aperitifs, 4 courses, house wine & coffee are all inclusive of 20.00 Euros per person. We do offer for purchase a variety of wines, spirits and digestives-after dinner drinks.
