The Chateau is full of original features, stone and wood floors, open beams, massive fireplaces, a tower, comfortable furnishings and original French antiques from the Baroness de Cautine. It is fully centrally heated and very cosy in winter while in summer, due to its ancient thick stone walls, it remains cool even on the hottest days.

The dining room is very atmospheric and highly conducive to long dinner parties by candlelight! Seating up to 24 people it has an original stone fireplace with carved wooden surround and open beamed ceiling.

The kitchen is also a great gathering place for cooking and chatting round the big table. While it is fully equipped and convenient, it retains all its original features in addition to copper pots, wooden settles, cosy armchairs, antique cupboards and a grandfather clock!

The large sitting room is another lovely room with comfortable sofas and chairs, a small library of books, a fireplace and an old piano (not restored yet!). Large, wide screen TV with English channels and DVD player. There is a sound system for CD's and cassettes.

Off the living room is a play room where there are children's books, toys and various games. There is a table-football table, a collapsible ping pong table and a snooker table in the house which can be put up in one of the large bedrooms if required.

ROOMS & SUITES
Every room has its own atmosphere and they have all been recently refurbished with new curtains and cushions combining beautifully with the original furniture of the chateau, the antique sleigh beds and lots of Persian rugs to create a real feeling of cosiness and charm.

All beds have duvets thick ones for winter and thin ones for summer. Attractive and comfortable.
COMFORT

All the rooms are centrally heated and very cosy in the winter..... and in the summer, very cool, as the walls of this ancient chateau are many feet thick and the windows open on both sides of the house enabling cooling breezes to blow right through the house.

BATHROOMS
We have two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The rest of the bedrooms have shared bathroom facilities but we provide fluffy dressing gowns and slippers so that you can comfortably move to the bathrooms at any time of the day or night. All the bathrooms have excellent showers and there is plenty of hot water.

The Chateau is set in 32 beautiful acres of gardens, fields, woods and open land.

There is a large grassy terrace at the back of the house where you can enjoy outdoor eating at long tables under shady trees. Spend time just soaking up the silence, the wind rustling between the trees, the cicadas and crickets clicking out their lazy summer melody, birdsong, lizards slithering over ancient stones, cows grazing across the valley, deer drinking at the distant stream.
