Overview
The house is peacefully situated within walking distance of Peyia Village (tavernas, bars, take-aways, bank, shops, free parking, municipal buildings and stunning views of the bay) which is above Coral Bay resort (15 mins walk from the house). There is an excellent bus service to Pafos and local taxis are very good value. The house is furnished to a high standard and provides everything needed for a relaxing sun-seeker's holiday. However, being so near the Akamas Peninsula (which is a nature reserve), Latchi (with Aphrodite's Baths and fabulous fish restaurants on the beach), Coral Bay (family-oriented beach resort with plenty of beach activities, bars and restaurants) and Paphos Town & Harbour, it is also an ideal base for those interested in nature trails, all-season sports or cultural sight-seeing (e.g Ancient Tombs of the Kings, Roman Mosaics, Byzantine Churches, sites of political and mythological importance, and old fishing harbours). It is even possible to go ski-ing in the Troodos Mountains Nature Reserve (about 90 mins drive) in winter. The light, airy, comfortable accommodation is suitable for families or couples. It can sleep 8, but is better suited to 4-6. It has a communal swimming pool and its own parking bay. A hire car is recommended to take advantage of the local attractions. The house benefits from being end-of-terrace and therefore enjoys beautiful views of sea or mountains from all rooms. The outside area has olive trees, flowering shrubs and large herb bushes (e.g. basil). Each bedroom has a balcony with outdoor furniture; downstairs there is a patio and a large veranda with garden furniture, a large parasol and sunbeds.Air-conditioning is available (and heaters for the cooler winter evenings). There is a TV and DVD player supplied and the kitchen has mod cons e.g. washing machine, microwave.
It is available for rent on a weekly basis with extra days. Change of linen + towels, and cleaning available after first week of two-week holiday. All linen and towels provided, free of charge, including a set of beach towels. Non-smokers only please.

Location & area
The house is located in a residential area on the outskirts of Peyia Village. To reach it, you take the main road out of Pafos towards Coral Bay. At the junction of Coral Bay you turn right and follow the road up towards Peyia (also spelt Pegia). Go past banana plantations and into the built-up area. Just past the police station (and before you reach the village) you turn sharp left and turn back on yourself. After about 300 yards take the first turning left and head further downhill. Peyia Paradise is about 300 yards down this hill on the right hand side.
The house is located 15 mins' drive from Pafos Town and about 25 mins' drive from the airport. It is walking distance to Peyia Village (up hill 10 mins) and to Coral Bay (down hill 15 mins). Paphos has many bars and restaurants, but the best places to eat are located out of the tourist areas. Fortunately, Peyia is close to many of these: there are some very good quality tavernas in Kathikas (go up the hill from the house in the direction of Peyia Village. Go through the village, up the winding road overlooking the bay and out towards Latchi/Polis on the new main road. Take the first turn-off sign-posted to Kathikas.)
For a fabulous fish meze drive out towards Kathikas, but keep going towards Polis/Latchi (stopping only at the Donkey Sanctuary for coffee). After about 20 mins you reach Latchi and Aphrodite's Baths with clifftop walks for all abilities. This is one side of the Akamas Peninsula. From the house go back up towards Peyia Village and turn right at the fork leading back to the coast. Once on the main road, turn right and drive towards Ayios Georgios Church with restaurant overlooking the fishing harbour. After a delightful lunch, go back out onto the road to the Akamas Peninsula and drive just past the White River Valley to the Car Park. There are plenty of opportunities here to walk to Lara Bay (turtle beaches) and to explore the nature trails of the Akamas.
The Troodos Mountains are easy to reach now that roads have been modernised and a short-cut can be accessed through Kathikas Village (not on all maps). The main road into Pafos runs past the Tombs of the Kings (unmissable any time of year). Turn left up the hill into the Old Town of Pafos for some fantastic views of the bay and town. Here you will also enjoy historical sites including the newly renovated Turkish Baths. Turn right to the harbour where there is a free parking area. At the harbour you will find the Roman Villas and Mosaics and various other cultural and historical interests (and some lovely ice cream palours). For young families the major attractions are in and around Coral Bay and Pafos Harbour area. There is a waterpark leisure area about a kilometre from Pafos Town and Pafos has its own municipal beaches. Coral Bay area has a safe sandy beach, water sports facilities and other leisure attractions. Some of the local hotels also have safe sandy coves and beach bars that are open to the public.
