Overview
This is a truly luxurious house, originally built by the Venetians, but now renovated to a very high standard by its English owners. The furnishings and fittings are stylish and modern, though the house has kept its 18c attractiveness with beamed ceilings and wooden floors.
It's on four storeys, with two terraces and two living areas. On the top terrace the views are stunning, over the bay with its yachts and towards the old monastery on a promontary. You can relax here with drinks in the evening and watch the sunset across the bay. Heaven! There is a pretty table on the top terrace which seats six - perfect for dinner while watching the lights in the bay twinkling at night.
There are two spacious double bedrooms, with king-size beds, well equipped, and each has large casement windows with great views. One bedroom has its own terrace, with table and chairs, while the other is on the floor above so has slightly better views. The bathrooms have been fitted with Japan-style sinks, modern loos, and excellent showers. There are also two sofa-beds in the ground floor living area. Four bicycles and four sunbeds are provided.
The house is situated at the far end of a small quayside, set back in a square with palm trees. It's in the hamlet of Kut, around the bay from Vis town. This is a charming area, with old Venetian houses and narrow cobbled lanes, and is where you'll find the best restaurants on the island. There is also a bar, a bread shop and a small grocery store nearby.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
