Location & area

Slano is a small town in southern Croatia and is located in a 2 km long bay with a pleasant climate and a lush Mediterranean vegetation. Discover the beautiful landscape of this area with its picturesque locations or visit one of the many islands and the surroundings. Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic Sea, is only 30 kilometers away, and always worth a visit. Or simply relax in the burning sun of Croatia and enjoy the Dalmatian flair. In the area there are several restaurants where you can eat delicious. In addition, Slano offers a post office,which also acts as an exchange office, an ambulance, supermarkets, cafes and a tourist community. This tourist community "Dubrovacko Primorje" organizes trips to Dubrovnik, Korcula, Neretva delta,Međjugorje, Elafiti islands and the island of Mljet. There are some seasonal events, festivals and concerts. Like, for example, the celebration "Siđ", which takes place every year on 2 August. The residents are concerned with agriculture, olives, fruit and grape cultivation, fishing and tourism. The small port of Slano serves as a safe haven for ships during storms.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
