Overview
DESCRIPTION: We renovated my wifes family home in the fishing village Zablace close to Sibenik in the beautiful central region of Croatia. An original terraced stone house updated with 6 bedrooms and 3 baths, nicely furnished and with all amenities. The ground floor has a fully serviced kitchen, including dishwasher. A double bedroom and a twin bed room suitable for children. On the second floor is a TV/Dining area with kitchenette. Also bathroom, a double bedroom and a single room that is suitable for a teenager or two younger siblings. On the top floor a beautiful light airy double bedroom plus a large single or twin room and bathroom (stand up walk-in shower only).
The house also has a terrace which is open to all floors and space for parking in front of the house.
Ideal for families or groups of friends. We also rent bedrooms or floors out. Please enquire.
LOCATION: The house is situated in a charming fishing village in the centre of the Adriatic coast. Zablace is a small port which also offers great swimming from its long unspoilt coastline. The village has a bar cafe, its own pizzeria and two supermarkets. There are three local restaurants which offer wonderful food (Toni's is highly commended) - all children friendly - great local food (fish is great) plus the local Croatian house wine. The quiet village of Zablace has many English (American) speakers and has its own bakery, fruit and vegetable market, pharmacy, post office all close by. The village albeit quiet is wonderfully situated between the Solaris complex (hotels with restaurants, water sports and childrens entertainments) and the seaside town of Vodice which has been attracting tourists from all over the world for decades.
The medieval town of Sibenik is fifteen minutes away (major bus station and access to the islands and the Kornati National Park). Boat trips available out to the central islands, to the Krka National Park and the River Krka with its rapids and waterfalls.
TRAVEL: There is a highway A-1 from Zagreb to the coast. This connects Rijeka, Zadar, Sibenik, Split and continues down to Dubrovnik. This new route has cut driving times significantly and vastly improved access to all coastal reagions/towns/villages. The road also connects to the charming Adriatic resort towns of Trogir and Primosten. The airport and sea port of Split is less than an hour away and close by the charming Adriatic resort towns of Trogir and Primosten.
INFORMATION:
This house has been our family's summer home for many years. It is a perfect buy to let property being conveniently situated by the sea, village atmosphere, family orientated, with large double sized rooms over three floors available to rent.
The house was one of the original stone cottages that was for utilised by the villagers as a Konoba.
Konoba - local winery and the best places to experience typical Dalmatian cuisine. They were once the places where fishermen hung out and got someone else to cook their catch for them.
The house is the middle (white house) of three. It was the first house built the two subsequent houses being constructed for other family members. It was developed into a three storey building in the nineteen seventies. Unlike many of the surrounding properties it still retains much of its original character. Renovated over the past years to a standard (kitchen attractively/simply refurbished) whilst retaining overall a cosy atmosphere.
Original wooden shutters to all front and rear facing windows with mosquito repellant barriers.
Recently repainted.
New guttering to front and rear of house.
Most rooms have ceiling fans for the hot summers.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
