Location & area
Local tourist agencies organize frequent coach trips to many places of interest, from Venezia to the lakes at Plitvice.
Here are just a few points of interest that are easily accessible, that is, if you get bored with the beach being 5 min walk from your bedroom:--Mountain Velebit-
It is Croatian very own holy mountain, one of the symbols of Croatia which distinguishes it in the world. Most of it is protected either as a National Park or Nature Park. Traversed by foot paths, mountain shelters and picturesque villages.
--Plitvice lakes--
One of the most magical and serene places you will see. The National Park under UNESCO protection. 16 mountain lakes are joined by the breathtaking waterfalls. If there is only one trip you will do, do this one. At only 80 km away from Senj it is easy to get to, it will take your breath away and then you will want to see it in winter
--Zavratnica cove and island of Rab-
Resembling a miniature Scandinavian fjord, ZAVRATNICA is probably one of the most beautiful coves of the Croatian Adriatic. It is only 15 minutes walk along the coast from Jablanac. And Jablanac is about 45 min drive from Senj. To be seen in the cove are the remains of a sunken German warship, a real tourist attraction to numerous divers that come here in the summer. The village of Jablanac is the car ferry port for island of Rab with two ferries crossing non stop in high season.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
