Location & area

The village Marusici has one small church, one market,two restaurants and
one post box!

It is not typical tourist destination with lot of people; it is peaceful,
but not fat from the places where you can enjoy in the nightime or in
natural and historical monuments.

There is old Napoleonian road higher in the village which is not in use for
everyday traffic. It is very nice for walking or bikeing.

There are few pebble beaches near.

There is no industry arround, and air and sea water are extremly clean and
transparent. Pebbles are very light what proves to see " the bottom of the
sea" deeper than 25 m.

Aproximate temperature of the sea in July/August is 22-24 °C.



Here, in a single day you can enjoy almost private beach, sea and sun in
Marusici and cosmopolitan nightlife in Makarska.



First bigger town is Omis (12 km ),wellknown in Dalmatian history as pirats
tower .In nowdays,tourist usually go there for exciting rafting in canyon of
river Cetina . It has about 10000 inhebitants, shops, cinema,wonderful big
sand beach, the nearest petrol station, medical care ...Possible to organize
tracking,free climbing,scuba diving...
In the period of July/August there is festival of Dalmatian singers,who sing
"a capella" in traditional Dalmatian way.



At the other direction there are Makarska ( 18 km ) and Brela (8 km).They
are typical tourist destination,very crowed.
They are settled bellow mountain Biokovo the highest one in whole
Mediterranean (Sveti Jure, 1762 m ) ,that as a massive stone giant stands
the guard over unique beauty of the coast.
It is possible to go by car to the peak (that takes only 52 km from our
house), end extrordinary view is in front of you.

On the back side hinterland with carst miracles Blue and Red Lake, and in
front of you Central Dalmatia archipelago with contours of Italian coast in
the background !

If you are byke fun, you can even go by byke to the top of it; some of our
guests were realy happy thinking about distance that they climb-from the 0 m
to 1762 m-that is almost imposibile in the alpe's mountains; you can climb
to the higher peak, but not longer distance!



Also,it is not far to visit Split, the capital of Dalmatia ( 40 km ),where
you can enjoy in its 1700 years old history,in Split's summer festival....
It is possible to make one day excursions to Dubrovnik ( 172 km) or to
islands Brac or Hvar.

Excursions are organised from Omis,Makarska, but also from nearby village
Mimice.

Welcome pack usualy consists of the fresh, season fruits and vegetables from our own garden .
We prepare one lunch/dinner with 3 meals ( one of them is fresh fish cached by owner) free of charge for our guests who stay more then a week.
