Located on the southern side of the don't know, Mali Losinj is the biggest town on the island. Due to its geographic position, Mali Lošinj become a important maritime and commercial centre, and later important tourist destination. With a population of 6500 inhabitants, it is the largest island town on the Croatian Adriatic



Mali Losinj dates back to the 12th century when twelve Croatian families settled in the eastern bay of Sveti (Saint) Martin. The first Croatian settlers were farmers, some whom later turned to fishing, sailing and shipbuilding. This led to populated areas moving towards the coast
