Overview

Camping Veliko Tarnovo is a brand new, purpose-built campsite designed and managed by life-long campers. There is free Wifi internet across the site, the showers are strong and hot, there is a camper's kitchen, laundry and family bathroom. On site there is a lovely cafe/bar restaurant in case you don't fancy the short walk into the village. The views from every pitch are stunning and as the site is just outside the village, it's perfectly quiet. You can look forward to the best night's sleep in Bulgaria. Dogs and other pets are welcome. Group bookings by arrangement.

Location & area

The campsite is set in open farmland backed by the Stara Elena mountains. There is a lake to the east of the campsite which has glorious reflections as the sun rises. Only 10 km from Veliko Tarnovo and a short walk to Dragizhevo village. There are hiking routes direct from the campsite.

Veliko Tarnovo is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Europe. Find out more at www.velikoturnovo.info It also has a range of great shops and restaurants, cinema and bowling. We are also close to the beautifully restored village of Arbanasi where you can see lovely examples of Bulgarian revival architecture. Etara village is a short drive which is a working village museum. On site this year we have an archery instructor, who will be teaching archery skills by prior arrangement and Nick & Nicky, the owners, will be pleased to find out about other activities e.g. hiking, cycling, fishing and make bookings for you during your stay.

A fantastic site, it is a lovely site and the views are stunnig, the onwer make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. The shower block is amazing, high quality and so clean it was just like being at home. The cafe is wonderful, the food is great and very reasonably priced. I can not recommend the site highly enough, if you get the chance you must stay here you will not be disappointed

what a wonderful site, hidden in the depths of bulgaria, we thought we would never find a park away from the tourist areas of the black sea. wonderful views of the surrounding area from the south facing pitches, clean and spacious washing facilities with all the mod cons of a 5 star uk park. great food and atmosphere in the little cafe bar. staff were very helpful and friendly, price was very competitive on the whole a gem we will be back
