Overview
"Yovcheva kashta" is a holiday house, 200 years old and entirely renovated in the Bulgarian Revival style. It is situated 34 km far away from the town Veliko Tarnovo and 15 km far from the dam lake Jovkovci. The house we offer has 2 floors and a local heating system. On the first floor there are kitchen, dining room, tavern with a hearth, bathroom and a toilet. On the second floor there are 2 apartaments with hearth, 4 bedrooms and 1 single room for resting, which are furnished in the same traditional Revival style, but offer all modern accommodations. In the yard there is a summer kitchen with barbeque, hearth and an oven, small house for children and swimming pool. The region is typical of a very mild climate in the winter and a warm and pleasantly cool summer - it is in the Middle Balkan, with a great number of small rivers and several deep gorges. The area is suitable for: relaxation, tourism, walking, fishing, swimming, mountain activities, mountain biking, historical sightseeing, sunbathing, bicycle ride. The region of Elena is suitable for active family holiday: hiking, fishing, sciing, herbs and mushroom gathering. The town is full of small workshops, where skillful masters show their craft to the visitors and numerous mechanas. Our local specialties are the famous "Elenski But" (a special kind of dried meat made in this region) and buffallo milk from our own farm.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
