Overview

Chalet Jora is a traditional ski and snowboarding chalet situated in the heart of Banskos picturesque old town. Bansko is the biggest and best ski and snowboard resort in Bulgaria, at 2900m there are over 70km of skiable slopes and you can ski right down into the heart of the resort.

The Chalet is a two minute walk to both the main street & historic square, where you will find a wide variety of lively mehanas (traditional Bulgarian restaurants), traditional taverns, bars and night clubs. The gondola station in Bansko is only a 7 minute walk from the chalet, however we provide a shuttle service to and from the lift each day.

The chalet is recently renovated but it retains its traditional charm and character, creating a cosy and relaxing atmosphere for our guests. With 5 spacious bedrooms, the chalet sleeps from 8 to 14 people.

Your hosts Jay & Laura have enjoyed several years working in the ski and snowboard industry and will do their best to entertain and make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. During your welcome drinks they will be more than happy to provide you with the information you need to make your stay special and memorable.

Amenities & services

The large kitchen enables your hosts Laura & Jay to provide you with breakfast, afternoon tea and a hearty three course evening meal for six nights of your stay with the catered option. With five spacious and well furnished bedrooms, we can cater for up to 14 people. Two of the bedrooms are 4 person family rooms, and three are double / twin rooms. All of the bedrooms are tastefully furnished with tailor made pine beds and finished with crisp white cotton sheets. Clean towels and slippers are provided for your stay. The chalet boasts four bathrooms, all equipped with powerful showers. One of the bathrooms also has a bath, a great way to relax after a hard day on the slopes! Our large lounge is the perfect place to wind down and relax on the comfy sofas next to the fire. For your comfort and enjoyment the lounge is equipped with a fully stocked bar, comfortable seating, a log fire and a selection of games (including Nintendo Wii) and movies. In the candlelit dining room, you can enjoy our hearty home cooked meals, and sample the complimentary local wine and beer. The chalet features board games, cards, computer games (Wii), movies and internet all for your entertainment and enjoyment. A heated boot room is essential if you want to put on a comfortable set of boots in the morning. We provide a rack for the boots and hanging space for clothes to enable all of your equipment to be toasty warm in the morning.
