Overview

This boutique B&B is truly a high-end eco-resort. We combine spacious and well-appointed rooms with environmentally friendly surroundings to give our guests the best of both worlds. Once here, you can enjoy our wonderful restaurant, go horseback riding, relax at the pool, hike on the trails to any of our 5 waterfalls, view many varieties of birds, or take a tour of our alternative energy facilities. We provide our power with a combination of solar panels, hydro-electric generators and wind power. We are growing jatrophia plants to produce our own biodiesel fuel, to provide power to our diesel vehicles and our backup generator. On approximately 50 acres, we have cows and horses, and will soon have goats and chickens. We are building an eco-greenhouse with locally grown bamboo to provide vegetables and herbs to our restaurant. Finally, we have planted many different fruit trees (oranges, limes, avocados, bananas, lychees, mangos, papayas and other local fruits), some of which are already beginning to produce fruit.Visit Rancho de Caldera for a private, serene getaway, to learn about utilizing alternative energies, and/or to be part of a different culture for a time.

Accomodations consist of 2 super discounted rooms at $60/night (2 rooms share 1 bath, no A/C); and standard and deluxe rooms beginning at $160.
