Overview

Our Longford Hideaway is where you want to go to get away from it all and relax, discover a different way of life, enjoy a tropical retreat, have fun in the sun and after hours, treat yourself and do what you really like to do on your vacation and even if you travel to St. Croix for business. Situated on the south shore of St. Croix,nine miles from the airport and just four miles from Christiansted town, our cottage is very private but with the option of a local family as your host. We are here to make your stay just perfect or .... never to be seen or heard except for checking you in and out :). You can walk to the beach, to a favorite fishing ground or hike nearby hills for those views you will cherish forever. The whole island of St. Croix with its magnificent 80 sq miles will be your playground with ease of driving to reach and enjoy all it has to offer.
Longford Hideaway is nestled in a 3 acre area with few 1800 buildings built by the Danish for their cotton/sisal Longford plantation. All around this area,a Senepol cattle farm utilizes the pastures as forage for their grass fed cattle. Closer to the cottage, the owner's son has improved on the property planting an organic /vegetable garden and raising fowls (chickens, geese, ducks) to recycle the garden produce. It is a micro cosmo for organic living which can attract those who seek eco-tourism and indeed we offer fresh organically grown produce to our guests as the season allows. If you want to be in charge of your St. Croix vacation, away from the crowds, but would enjoy the hospitality of a new place, and you love nature,the sea,walking/hiking,animals, and the road not taken, Longford Hideaway is the vacation cottage you will want for your stay in St. Croix.
