Overview

Soufriere is the third town of St. Lucia. It is a 1.5 hour drive from Castries/George Charles Airport and a 45 minute drive from Hewanorra Airport. Soufriere boasts the drive-in volcano, health-giving mineral baths and the scenic Pitons which are situated in a designated World Heritage site. Anse Chastanet, a nearby beach, is renowned for its excellent snorkeling and scuba diving. There are varied restaurants in this area -- from quaint local bistros to gourmet restaurants situated in nearby hotels.

La Fleur des Pitons Villa is a “plantation” style home nestled high on a breathtaking ridge between the Pitons of St. Lucia. The house enjoys not only a unique view of both the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, but it also benefits from the cooling tradewind sea breezes. Completed in January 2007, the house and its adjacent guest house, La Fleur Petite Cottage, enjoy every amenity.

La Fleur des Pitons Villa has a 30' by 30' Great Room, surrounded on 3 sides with tall louvred doors, each opening onto a 10' covered verandah with sweeping views. The Great Room is ideal for relaxing and dining (table seats 10) with its high vaulted wood ceilings, Bose speakers in each corner and attractive, locally made furniture.

The South verandah faces a 30' long stone waterfall, and the views and sounds can be enjoyed both inside and outside.

Outside on the West verandah is a 40' by 12' infinity pool which gives the illusion of spilling down the hillside, emphasizing the 1000' drop to the Caribbean Sea below. On one end of the pool deck is an alfresco dining area; on the other end is a sun deck, fully equipped with chaises for sun lovers. A shower/bathroom is situated off the pool area.

Attached to the Great Room is an open plan kitchen with a 12' tile topped breakfast bar with stools for casual dining. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances, including a side by side refrigerator with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, microwave and an electric coffee maker. There is a telephone and computer area off the bar.

The main house has 2 spacious bedrooms with high vaulted ceilings and its own balcony (one situated on the ground floor and one upstairs). Each bedroom has a king size, four poster bed with a walk-in closet, safe, wet bar with small refrigerator and electric kettle, ensuite bathroom and a comfortable seating area with a desk, internet service and telephone. Enjoy your morning coffee seated on the bedroom balcony with the backdrop of the Pitons!

Villa Notes:
La Fleur des Pitons Villa can be rented with La Fleur Petite Cottage, an adjacent, 1-bedroom guest house located on the villa grounds. (This cottage can be rented with the main house to comprise 3 bedrooms total or as a stand-alone property. To see rates and photos for the 1-bedroom cottage only.

Please note that housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.
