Overview
Run by Julio Munoz and Rosa Orbea, Casa Muñoz is a colonial house built in 1800 that has retained its original style and antique furniture (featured in National Geographic magazine October 1999, page 102)
Lodging located in the centre of Trinidad de Cuba, all the main sites ( Plaza Mayor, museums, tourist sights, bank, bus station, travel agencies , etc) are no more than a convenient 3 minutes walk away. Around Plaza Mayor, some 90% of the music venues can be found. Casa Munoz is 3 blocks away from the plaza, allowing you a peaceful night's sleep..
After your activities you can relax in this lovely family home, in the courtyard with garden or on the roof terrace with a magnificent view of Trinidad and surrounding mountains (in the afternoon with the company of a cold beer is a great idea, believe you me)
Enjoy home cooking in a friendly atmosphere.
Don't worry about "power cuts" as our casa particular have a powerful generator.
Casa Muñoz also has a private parking area inside the home.
You will stay with the young family of Julio and Rosa Munoz (who both speak English), their daughters Maria (17) and Carmen (8).
Munoz's family love animals; you can enjoy the company of the pets Luna de Miel (Honeymoon) the horse (stabled in the garden); Brandi and Cloe the dogs. Julio is a horse's trainer using the Natural Horsemanship method. He has a Project for Help Horses and Dogs in Trinidad de Cuba.
Casa Munoz is the right choice for those interested in Trinidad's culture: its traditions, legends and religions; which are also featured in our slide library and photo gallery.
Julio is a photographer and can arrange photography workshops and study groups. He is also able to provide beginners with information and advice on request. Trinidad de Cuba is great place for photography.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
