Overview

This beautiful holiday rental cottage sits next to a similar one overlooking the turquoise ocean surrounding Cat Island. You will have an amazing 180° unobstructed view of the ocean from the interior which is decorated in flamingo motif and has cathedral ceilings, a plush queen sized bed, comfortable arm chairs and couches, large closets and a dresser with plenty of room for storage. Outside a veranda lets you enjoy views of the ocean and garden from deck chairs.

There is a large BBQ grill and freshwater swimming pool with a hot tub Jacuzzi that is shared by both cottages and the owners, who live at a discreet distance on the property. Just steps from the pool is located the beach where you find comfortable hammocks and a shaded cabana strung with lights, perfect for a lazy afternoon nap, picnic or a romantic gathering under a starry night.

Upon your arrival, the friendly owners of this little hideaway will meet you at the airport and bring you back to the cottage. If you wish you can stop along the way for any food items you would like to purchase. The fridge will be already stocked with various drinks to be used like an honour bar where you pay for what you have drunk at the end of your visit.

Be sure to visit the rest of island for it is full of stunning deserted beaches kissed by waves of turquoise and opal coloured waters.

Location & area

Untainted by tourism, Cat Island is the sixth-largest island in The Bahamas with a population of just under 2 000 inhabitants. It is some 77 kilometres long and 1,6 to 6 kilometres wide and home to the highest point in the Bahamas at 36 metres.



Named after the pirate Arthur Catt, it's located near the Tropic of Cancer, between Eleuthera and Long Island. With its pristine virgin beaches, Cat Island is one of the most beautiful islands in The Bahamas, and it is so little visited that it's inexpensive and still feels undiscovered. Many local historians claim that Cat Island residents were the first to see Columbus. The great explorer himself was believed by some to have been welcomed here by the peaceful Arawaks.



Drive along the main road of Cat Island and enjoy the amazing views of sparkling turquoise water and sugar soft sand beaches that dot the length of the island. On the island's north side you will find a wild and untamed shoreline.
