Overview
This beautifully decorated two level holiday rental villa in the Bahamas sits on the waterfront of a calm lovely bay on Eleuthera Island, just a short walk to a secluded beach. Recently built, it is spacious and luminous with large windows and sliding glass doors that permit magnificent views of the sky and water, whose blue and green colours change like a kaleidoscope under the sun.
On the first level of this vacation villa you will find a large fully equipped kitchen that opens onto a dining area and a living room filled with comfortable sofas and chairs. There are large windows with ocean views and you can access a covered veranda via the kitchen. There is also a bathroom and a bedroom with two single beds on this level.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with breathtaking views of the water through sliding glass doors by which you can also access another veranda open to the sun. Connected to the master bedroom is a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Down the hallway you will find a mezzanine designed to be a second more casual living/recreation room that contains a sofa, a TV for watching videos and a small dining table.
The two verandas run the length of the house on both levels and face the water. From the house, take the private path through the trees down to a jetty that sits on the water where you can sunbathe or descend the ladder to swim to the secluded yet close beach you can see from the house.
Enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful tranquil island of Eleuthera where you will never find yourself far from a beach or beautiful water.

Location & area
Eleuthera, with a population 10 500 is in fact a chain of 3 islands Eleuthera Island, St. George's Cay and Harbour Island. Eleuthera Island was the first permanent settlement in The Bahamas, founded more than 300 years ago by English Adventurers fleeing persecution in Bermuda and England in search of religious freedom They named it Eleuthera, the Greek word for freedom.
Eleuthera Island is an island of white and pale pink sand beaches framed by casuarinas trees, high rolling green hills, sea-to-sea views, dramatic cliffs, and sheltered coves. More than 160 kilometres long but merely 3 kilometres wide, you are never far from the beach on this island. Gregory Town is the pineapple capital of Eleuthera and a bit farther south is Surfers Beach, one of the best surfing spots in the Bahamas. Governor's Harbour, the most well-known of the settlements is a small, quiet town with a collection of distinctive colonial homes often listed in the National Register of Historical Properties. It has small restaurants and shops, quaint churches and colourful Bahamian buildings and is within walking distance to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
A short water taxi ride from the northern part of Eleuthera Island is Harbour Island (or Briland, as it's known to residents). Harbour Island is only 4,8 kilometres long and less than a kilometre wide and famous for its warm, pink-hued sand beach running almost the entire length of the island and for its quaint Loyalist architecture with rows of century-old trees bordering narrow flower-lined streets.
Another short water taxi ride away is Spanish Wells on St. George's Cay, a quiet sleepy little island of fisherman well-known for their lobstering skills and charming colourful cottages.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
