There are 11 restaurants, cafe's, the historic Christ Church (oldest church in New Zealand), Flagstaff Hill, Pompallier House (oldest mission house, and a 15 minute ferry ride to the Waitangi Treaty House and Gardens where the famous Treaty of Waitangi was signed between the Maori and British in 1840.
