Overview

Welcome to one of New Zealand's popular B&B's established in 1979. Warm hospitality, comfort and a hearty breakfast has drawn guests back to Trelawn for over 25 years.
Trelawn Place is a country home and Bed and Breakfast only 5 minutes (4km) drive from central Queenstown. 11 km from the Queenstown Airport. (15 minutes) We offer all the peace and privacy of a tranquil retreat. The delightful 2 acre cottage garden is on the edge of the famous Shotover river and surrounded by dramatic mountains. The Coronet Peak ski field is the major part of our panoramic river view.
We offer luxury bed and breakfast accommodation, with King sized beds. With a self contained option is in our Honeymoon cottage that can sleep four people or our Garden Apartment that sleeps three. We provide a full cooked and a continental breakfast for those staying in the house. While staying here you may have free use of our Guest Laundry, guest computer for internet access and our riverside Jacuzzi.
Bed and Breakfast has been a way of life for Nery and Michael since 1979. Both are keen travelers. If they are not hosting guests, they are traveling and enjoying the experience themselves.
The house is large, so you have plenty of space to be alone if you wish, but there are communal areas, on the patios and around the log fire. They say to people 'please make yourself at home'. So if you would like to have a break from the restaurants, you are welcome to use the house kitchen. There are gas bar-be-ques for Queenstown's balmy summer evenings.

Nery purchased the land in 1973, and the building of the house was a labour of love, involving endless hours of planning, building and collecting rocks for the gardens and walls. In the last few years Nery has redecorated, and refurbished the whole of the house. Originally a Home Science teacher in Auckland, she is very talented with the sewing machine and has enjoyed making the curtains and bed spreads, and adding the feminine touches.



Michael was a fruit grower in Central Otago, so his interests and abilities are evident in the garden. Beautiful rose gardens, shady conifers, and a hillside garden, where paths wander through trees, and a waterfall trickles down the rocks to feed several fish ponds. There are many shady corners with furniture to relax in, and enjoy the fabulous view. Hid away in the garden is a spa pool for everyones use.
The garden keeps evolving as Nery's ideas keep flowing.
Trelawn has plenty of safe off street parking, 2 quest laundries, and a laptop computer for the guests to check their E mails.

Animal lovers, they have 2 Friendly Welsh Corgis, plus Molly and Mozart two black cats.
