‘Ferry Hotel' Guesthouse is situated within the beautiful Wakatipu Basin, a scenic rural area next to the Shotover River and Historic Bridge. Old World Elegance aptly describes this delightful Guesthouse, not just a place to stay but also a feature of your holiday.



The "Ferry Hotel" B and B is close to Queenstown, Arrowtown and central to all attractions. Surrounded by delightful English cottage gardens and set in tranquil scenic surroundings, this is B&B accommodation suitable for the most discerning of travellers'.



Your hosts are Glenys, Kevin and Buckley. Glenys enjoys helping you to make the most of your stay in Queenstown, offering friendly advice and information, and making bookings for all local attractions. Kevin will advise, guide, or teach Fly Fishing, his passion and Buckley, our friendly English springer spaniel, will be more than happy to guide you for a pleasant walk along the banks of the famous Shotover River.



Spring, Summer and Autumn are a good time for Free Independent Travellers to tour the South Island of New Zealand, and Queenstown is the perfect base for many of the major attractions such as Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Glenorchy, Skippers Canyon and Arrowtown. Queenstown is also renowned for its many choices. You can play golf, take your pick from Arrowtown, Millbrook or Kelvin Heights Golf Courses, fly to Milford Sound, take a Jet Boat ride with Dart River Jet or Shotover Jet, horse ride, walk, tramp, take a gondola ride with Skyline or a trip across the Lake on the Earnslaw with Real Journeys, wine tasting, garden tours, Hot Tubs and much more. There is no shortage of choice in Queenstown.



The Guesthouse consists of Lounge/Dining, Kitchen, Laundry and 2 B & B units. Unit 1 – Double Room with Antique Brass Bed and ensuite bathroom, and Unit 2 – Double Room with King-size bed and Private bathroom. Unit 2 is also offered as a Family Unit by adding our small twin room, this is ideal for Mum and Dad and two children, children under 12 are free. If you prefer privacy, we also let the Guesthouse on a Whole House basis.
