Overview

An Organic Plantation Home Stay

Set amidst a lush tropical plantation of cocoa, rubber and spice, Planter's Retreat is a treasure trove for nature lovers, adventure seekers or for those simply looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.
Located beside the scenic Kanhirapuzha Dam, 40 km from the town of Palakkad in Kerala, India, the homestay is set in an exclusive locale, yet is easily accessible by road and rail from the cities of Kochi, Calicut and Coimbatore.

We, are a Syrian Christian family, our ancestors having settled here since the early 1940s, and have traditionally been farmers for several generations. We would love to have you come over, stay with us, experience our culture, traditions and cuisine and take back with you memories that you would cherish.
Understand how rubber, cocoa and tropical spices are cultivated and processed. Trek or bicycle through the plantation. Take a dip in the waterfall in the woods close to the plantation. Visit popular tourist destinations in the region.

Planters Retreat home stay is located near the hamlet of Kanhirapuzha. Kanhirapuzha is 40 km from Palakkad Town which is well connected by highways and rail. Palakkad is also prominently located, with the airport of Coimbatore about 50 km away whereas the airports of Kochi and Calicut are just 120 Km away.

We provide 3 premium, air-conditioned rooms overlooking the plantation. The bedrooms have modern, attached bathrooms with western closets and 24 hour hot water. The rooms are also well furnished with cupboards, easy chairs and writing table. Each bedroom also has a seperate dressing room.

The home stay provides laundry service, internet facility, book library, cable TV and Home Movies. The meals are full board.
