Overview
Hari Kothi is the historic retreat of the Kutlehar Royal Family ( It is one of the oldest estates in Dharamsala region. The estate was bought by His Highness Raja Sir Bhuri Singhji of Chamba for his eldest child, Princess Rattan Deiji Saheba and the estate formed a part of the Princess' dowry when she was married to the Crown Prince Brijmohan Palji of Kutlehar. The Royal couple spent many summers here as the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess and subsequently as the Raja and the Rani of Kutlehar. The present Raja of Kutlehar, Shri Raja Saheb Shri Mahendra Palji was born in this house in 1934 and in the year 2000 it was gifted by the Raja to his son, Prince Rupendra Pal as a millenium gift and the Prince has for the first time opened the estate to paying guests.
