The Bungalow Heritage Homestay is located at Vypeen side of the harbour mouth of the busy ship channel with Fort Kochi on the other side, is famous for its historical buildings that includes The Bungalow.The famous Heritage zone of Fort Kochi,is linked to Vypeen through a 5 minutes ferry. While crossing the ferry a picturesque view of Vypeen and Fort Cochin along with its Chinese fishing nets can be seen.
Built in 1930, The Bungalow is a mixture of Portuguese, Dutch & Kerala architectures.The host family live on the ground floor. The first floor of this three storied house is fully furnished with two spacious double bed rooms and a sit out for the comfort of the guest.One Double bed room is with attached bathroom and western style toilet.Second double bed room is with an exclusive bathroom and western style toilet adjacent to it.Second floor attic is available to guests for common uses like reading , indoor games like chess etc.Each room have wooden floor and wooden ceilings .Wooden staircase connect each floor. The food is cooked in traditional Kerala style and there are wide selection to choose, in case you decide to eat with the family.Come, take a cooking Holiday: Our guest can experience the taste of the land, its spices and the numerous ways of putting it to good use. So, if it interest you, as many of our guests do, you could turn this into an exotic cooking holiday of Kerala Cuisine.
