where you can relax in your swim suit and sarong all day long if you wish. Gaze over the flowers to the water from the breakfast bar while you have your morning coffee. Sit on the pontoon in the shade and daydream with a cool drink. Just you and mother nature at her best.Unspoiled Eco paradise.

Nestled in lush organic gardens your accommodations are artistically designed with your comfort and wellbeing in mind. The central Beach Bar/ Kitchen has large shutters which open up to the mosaic breakfast bar and the dining deck where there is a banquet table and a large BBQ . Built in seats for lounging look over the beach and the sundeck where a board walk takes you to the swimming pontoon. Truly a waterfront living experience. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas oven and burners, a large fridge, stainless sink, hardwood bar tops, utensils, plates pots, pans etc There is a toilet and a refreshing cold water shower so you can rinse off after swimming.
The bedrooms are private sanctuaries.
There are 2 separate screened bedrooms on each side of the beach bar building. They are quite private and surrounded by lovely gardens.

KINGFISHER.
This lovely room with a birds eye view over the beach and water can sleep 4. A lo spacious screened room with comfortable quality queen bed with cotton sheets and ample pillows. There is also a single bed and a loft with a mattress. Be caressed to sleep with the sounds of the water and the ambience of this special space. The en suite has a tiled shower with hot water and a vanity and a toilet. There is also a private tree top deck.

RIVERSONG.
Sleeps 2 in a double bed.
A cute room nestled in a private tropical garden with a balcony looking over the beach and water. The bathroom facilities are in the beach bar building a few meters away along the garden path. There is a comfortable double bed with cotton sheets and ample pillows. You will hear the fish jumping in the night and awaken to birdsong.

Fiji Government Tax 17.5% is to be added to the tariff.

Location & area

North East of Savusavu on the Island of Vanua Levu in Fiji is beautiful Salt Lake. A beautiful inland sea surrounded by rain forest, mangrove forest and coconut plantation. Drive for 30 minutes past Savusavu airport along the Hibiscus Highway past coconut plantations with old plantation houses ,grazing cattle and sheep, lush tropical vegetation and superb reef and lagoon vistas. Truly one of Fiji's most scenic routes.

When you reach Salt Lake Road, Salt Lake Lodge is just 400 meters along Salt Lake road from the junction. The Salt Lake is fed by the ocean tides from the Koro Sea and the Qaloqalo Salt River. The Lake is a favorite fishing and kayaking area.

Salt Lake Lodge is an absolute waterfront playground perfect for swimming, fishing, snorkeling and kayaking. Free single kayaks are provided for our guests. Double kayaks are available for hire. We also have boat hire with a guide and lifejackets for fishing and snorkeling trips .At the end of Salt Lake Road is the great Natewa Bay, the largest in the South Pacific.

minutes away by 14 foot runabout and 8 hp.motor.
anglers can experience trolling, popping and
bottom fishing. mangrove jacks, barracudas,
sailfish, trevalli, yellow fin tuna and reef fish all
caught here. arrange to go out at what ever time suits.

kayak from salt lake lodge along the

100 acres. fed by the ocean tides the lake is a
favourite fishing spot.
legendary home of dakuwaga the shark god.
retrace the path of the ancient fijians who used
the waterway as a short cut to natewa bay.
see where they dragged their canoes over the
hills which separate the lake from the
great natewa bay, the largest in the south pacific.
single kayaks are free for our guests.
double kayaks are $35 per day.

snorkelling

trips to beautiful benau lagoon,the reef and the
qaloqalo river passage.turtles, dolphin,corals and
many fish are seen here.

we recommend you bring your own reef shoes
and snorkelling gear.we have a limited supply

hiking

there are many lovely walks. a favourite is
salt lake road to natewa bay about a 1 hour walk
along a country lane past coconut plantations.
at natewa bay you can snorkel off the shore
take a picnic and enjoy the scene

scuba diving

koro sun dive is a 15 minute drive from
salt lake lodge.
they offer dive courses, day trips, and night dives.
they come highly recommended by our guests.

village visits

our local community are gilbertese, banaban,
indian and fijian.
you are most welcome to attend the local
church service and enjoy the wonderful singing.
the people are very friendlyand
like to meet visitors.
