4-1/2 STAR AAAT PROPERTY. Matilda's of Ranelagh is a gracious Victorian home set on 5-1/2 acres of parklands and gardens with The Mountain River on it's lower boundary. The house has been beautifuly restored and is filled with antiques and Victorian bric-a-brac. Concessions to modern living are reverse cycle heating system, plus underfloor heating in all bathrooms. This property is an adult retreat with no facilities for children under 15 years of age. Two of the guest rooms have spa baths with direct access to the gardens. The Queen & Duke of Edinburgh during a visit to The Huon Valley, took tea in what is now The Matilda Suite in April of 1970.
