Overview
Joseph's Cottage is a heritage listed 1840's workers cottage. It is central to all that Hobart has to offer, being only 15 minutes walk or a two minute drive from the city centre. There is also a bus stop 100 metres away.
There are 3 bedrooms with full linen. The main bedroom with queen sized bed, the second with a double bed and the third with two twin beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The sunny conservetory style dining room has views over Mount Wellington and the cottage garden which features fruit trees and old world roses. The garden is just the place to enjoy a barbeque on warmer evenings. The lounge has a huge original fire place just right for those cosy winter nights.
The views of the River Derwent and the city from the front verandah are spectacular. Just the place to enjoy a quiet predinner drink; watch the sun go down and the city light up.
Joseph's Cottage is well-equipped for family with plenty of books, games and puzzles available. There is also an excellent children's playground less than 5 minutes walk away.
There are two great restaurants within 200 metres. Paesano is a wonderful Italian restaurant that is well established and is very popular with locals and tourist alike. If you don't feel like eating out they also do a roaring takeaway pizza trade. Tell Domenic I sent you! The Lansdowne Cafe is a popular place for breakfast or lunch.
The sites of Hobart are only a few minutes away, but the quiet atmosphere of Joseph's Cottage would have you believe otherwise!!

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
