Overview

Sunrise Beach Lodge is a Quality beachfront residence located South of Cairns where all meals are fully catered by your live-in hosts, Ruth and Rob. This absolute beachfront lodge is situated in a private village nestled between the Great Barrier Reef and Rainforest and two pristine river systems.



There are NO ROADS to Sunrise Beach Lodge. Your hosts will transfer you from Cairns by road then by boat for a scenic river cruise to the mouth of the Mulgrave River. Only 1 hour to your beachfront accommodation.



The Frankland Islands are just offshore – a haven for snorkellers, divers, fishermen and those that love to explore remote beaches, headlands and islands. There is a tropical rainforest and freshwater waterfall within a short stroll along the beach.



Sunrise Beach Lodge is a modern air-conditioned, fully screened residence. There are only TWO ROOMS available which accommodates up to a maximum of 8 guests. All rooms host extensive views of the ocean, islands, and beaches.



Bushwalking, observing wildlife, beachcombing, birdwatching, fishing, exploring, and picnics in special places are some of the activities included.



Sportsfishing, gamefishing, snorkelling and sightseeing charters are available from this destination and all local tours can also be arranged from Sunrise Beach Lodge.

Location & area

Sunrise Beach Lodge is 45 klm south of Cairns. Travel south to Deeral and arrive at Deeral Boat & Car Storage on Ross Road.
Your hosts will then transfer you by boat for a 15 minute scenic trip via the rainforest lined Mulgrave River to Russell Heads.

Transfers are available from the airport or your accommodation, upon request. The complete journey to Sunrise Beach Lodge is usually less than one hour duration.
