Overview

Hello everyone...your "home" in Manila is finally open for business...Stephen, Gerry , and Dennis the three hosts of 2G have opened the doors of their rental flat since July of this year. We've hosted a few satisfied guests already and most of them thought the place was unexpectedly luxurious and comfortable and hopefully they will help spread the word...we are located along edison street, a funky yet peaceful oasis in the middle of this otherwise crazy town called Manila...situated between the central business district of Makati and the bohemian district of Malate...so you simply can't go wrong. We have 2 rooms to let inside the unit...a big room with two double beds, an en suite bath, and a walk-in closet... and a smaller room with a queen size bed and bath...with both rooms having fantastic views of the Makati skyline....there is a common dining area and kitchen and a cozy living room which spills out into the balcony where you can view the colorful streetlife below... come visit and experience Manila they way it was meant to be.

How to get to there:

From the two Manila airports, the NAIA and the Centennial apartment 2G is a short 30 minute ride. The airport taxis are best, a bit more expensive than the regular ones but the fixed fare rate assures a straightforward hassle free trip. Look or ask around for the airport taxi office just outside the arrival area.



The best way is to take Roxas Boulevard, the thoroughfare that lines Manila Bay then turn right at Buendia Avenue (or Gil Puyat although the driver knows either). Once in Buendia Avenue, cross the intersection of Taft Avenue and you hit Edison St which is where we are.



From EDSA, the main highway that traverses North and South of Metro Manila you can turn right at Ayala Avenue straight into Buendia Avenue then turn left at Dian St. Our building is at the corner of Dian and Edison Streets. (There's actually no left turn from Buendia to Dian so the driver can take a right first then do a u-turn to make a left).

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
