Overview

Ginkaku-an is not a hotel, but rather a full-equipped rental house requiring a contract: period of more than 1 week (6 night and 7 days). Even for people wanting to enjoy Kyoto as a whole, Shiga Prefecture, Osaka, or Kobe, you can find a place to write haiku, paint, and engage in other creative activities, refresh yourselves, or even to commute back and forth to Kyoto University Hospitals. All of these people will find a place to stay at Ginkaku-An. For anyone interested in staying at Ginkaku-An, we hope that we are here for you to feel that "this is the place that I can relax" or, "this is my place in Kyoto". Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
