Overview

The Hilton Bed n Breakfast is a small, select residence situated in the heart of Hilton village. It is only 1km from the town centre, 15 minutes from Howick Falls and historic Pietermaritzburg. We are at the start of the Midlands Meander Craft Route and adjoin the KwaZulu Natal Battlefields.

Hilton BnB offers four modern, comfortable, upmarket, double bedrooms all en-suite, some with private entrances. All have DSTV, tea and coffee facilities and heaters for those chilly nights. There is a spacious comfortable communal lounge, and a yummy breakfast, with real coffee, is served in the adjacent dining area.

Heinz and Rosalind Galla-Barth extend to guests the high level of service and warm hospitality that they have sought and only sometimes found during their travels around the world. In addition to English, Mandarin and German speaking visitors will feel especially at home.

Location & area

Hilton itself is a country village high on the escarpment overlooking Pietermaritzburg. It is rural but at the same time close to the amenities of city life in Pietermaritzburg and Durban. In addition to this it is also conveniently close to five of the top private schools in South Africa.

Hilton BnB, situated as it is in the heart of Hilton village, is conveniently placed for access to Hilton College, St Anne's College, Cedara Agricultural College. It is also not far from Michaelhouse. The village itself has all the necessary amenities such as shops, restaurants and gym but in addition Pietermaritzburg is only about 15 minutes away and it takes about an hour to drive to Durban.

There are several game farms and dams (with an abundance of bird life) nearby. The Drakensberg is easily accessible for day trips.
