An area of unparalleled beauty and tranquility is also perfectly located for excursions to nearby places of interest, including cosmopolitan Cape Town and her many places of interest and dazzling night life.
The numerous world famous wine estates nearby make an excellent starting point, and a morning or a day spent exploring these are a delight.
For nature lovers the Paarl Bird Sanctuary and Wild Flower Reserve together showcase the huge richness of the flora and fauna in the area.
With one of South Africa's most scenic valleys on their doorstep, active guests will need little invitation to go hiking, jogging, mountain biking, horse-riding or fishing. A few kilometers away, the Paarl Mountain hiking trails beckon, as does the beautiful Arboretum Cycling Trail along the Berg River.
Golfers too are well catered for at a number of excellent courses nearby including the 18 hole, par 72, Jack Nicklaus designed Paarl Valley Golf Course as well as Paarl, Stellenbosch, De Zalze, Erinvale, Somerset West and Booschenmeer.

From Cape Town, take the N1 to Paarl. Take the Klapmuts off ramp, continue to the intersection at the bottom of the off ramp and turn right onto the R44. Continue to 4-way stop, cross over, and then turn left at the sign indicating Franschhoek (the R45). Continue on this route and at the Simonsvlei sign, turn left. Continue for about 1 km and the estate is on the right hand side of the road.
