Oude Werf Lodge situated in the town of Kuruman in the Green Kalahari is the ideal setting to end of your day and to start a perfect and memorable stay.

This unique styled Lodge is within range of all the places of interest like the Moffat Mission, The Eye of Kuruman, the Raptor Centre, Billy Duvenhage Nature Reserve and on the route to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park, Tswalu Desert Reserve and the Kalahari and all the activities in the area. Oude Werf Lodge is also close in a very quite area where nothing can disturb the unique silence of a typical Kalahari night.

Oude Werf Lodge with its unique setting is huddled between ancient Camel Thorn trees and offers the guest and adventures traveler an ideal stay to enjoy our town and the hospitality of the people.

Location & area

Kuruman also known as the ‘Oasis of the Kalahari', it self has a lot to offer, the main attraction is The Eye, which delivers approximately 20 million liters of crystal clear spring water daily. The world famous Moffat Church built by a Scottish missionary in 1838 is also known where the first Bible in Africa was printed. The surrounding mining industry is also a site to visit prior to arrangements.

Oude Werf Lodge has 2 single rooms better known as our budget rooms, but with no imperfection. Then there are 15 double rooms, each with their own bathrooms, some with showers and other with luxurious baths so that you can relax fully. All our rooms are equip with coffee/tea and kettle facilities, a bar fridges is there for your convenience.



In the Kalahari with it's harsh day and chilly night temperatures air-conditioning is essential and at Oude Werf Lodge we know that for a pleasant stay you ‘ll enjoy, we have hot and cold air-conditioning in all our rooms, even in our budget rooms.



All our rooms are equip with large color TV's with a 9 channel DSTV feature which means that you'll not miss a single episode of your favorite programs if you would prefer that above the clear night sky with millions of bright shining stars, and of cause with a drink in your hand chatting with new friends, whom you'll meet at Oude Werf Lodge.
