Overview
Bakoven Sunsets is positioned behind the main residence and offers you tranquil living & peaceful views for pure relaxation.
This spacious, comfortable, newly built, freestanding cottage offers you the perfect opportunity to walk to the beach & explore the Cape with the carefree lockup and go lifestyle that the position affords. Being well furnished with all the mod cons, including wireless ADSL Broadband, this stylish property has loads to offer the traveller, be they local or international, on holiday or business.
The modern kitchen with all the furnishings and appliances encourages your culinary skills to experiment with something local, but as being on holiday means just that , there are loads of the award winning restaurants 10 - 15 minutes walk away, or order-in from an extensive list of restaurants, making it possible to not once need to cook. In Summer there is always the added option of a braai (Barbeque), whilst watching the "award winning" sunsets that Camps Bay has become so famous for.
The ambiance of the property encourages one to relax with your feet up in the privacy of the lounge whilst enjoying satellite television, a DVD, the latest novel or your favourite music, with the added benefit of a tranquil and private garden for those who just enjoy day dreaming whilst "sun-worshipping".
If you are planning to enjoy the Cape Winter there are added features such as a wood burning fireplace & under floor heating through out, ensuring that winter in the Cape is as special as it can be. The large bedroom with high timber ceilings & double doors leads directly into the garden.
There is also the additional option of a second detached guest suite with double bedroom & its own bathroom, which is ideal for a second couple or families requiring an additional bedroom for older children. Kindly discuss this when booking as its subject to availability.
The property also has a shared plunge pool for the use of the guests.

Location & area
In order to get to Camps Bay from the airport take the N2 southbound, following the signs to Cape Town, going past the townships and the cooling towers.
You will then see signs for the M3 to Muizenberg (to the left) or M3 to Cape Town (to the right). Continue to follow the signs to Cape Town.
The N2 merges with the M3, and shortly afterwards will split into De Waal Dr (the left two lanes) and Eastern Boulevard (the three right hand lanes). Stay in the right hand lanes.
Follow Eastern Boulevard to the end (a large intersection with signs to the V&A Waterfront to the right) where it runs into Buitengracht Street. Go directly into Buitengracht St, and continue straight up towards the mountain. Keep following this road (the name has now changed to Kloof Nek Rd) up and over the hill, until you come over Kloof Nek (the top of the hill). This road now changes name, and becomes Camps Bay Drive.
At the one and only Stop Street on this road turn left in Houghton Drive. Take the 2nd road left into Rottingdean and Bakoven Sunsets will come up on your left hand side, No. 11. You may park in front of the garage on the right.
Please see the attached map for further information.
The address is number 11 Rottingdean Rd, Camps Bay.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
