Overview

Ambleside House offers a 2 bedroom cottage that is beautifully furnished in an ecclectic mix of styles both traditional and contemporary. Ideally located in Pinelands, Cape Town the self catering accommodation is perfect for tourists and business travellers.There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The lounge opens to the fully fitted kitchen and a large separate dining room leads off to one side. There is a small private garden to relax in. Off street parking is provided and security is excellent. Although self catering, a continental breakfast is available on request for a small charge. A laundry service is also available. The unit is serviced daily at a small fee of R100. Nearby there are some super restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, transport links and the airport is only 10 minutes away. Within 10km are the city centre, Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, major shopping malls and beaches. The Winelands are just 30 minutes drive away. Within 1km are two superb golf courses.

Location & area

Pinelands is a quiet leafy suburb of Cape Town. It was the first Garden City in South Africa, built in the 1920's. Ambleside House is one of the original thatched Cape Dutch homesteads built at that time. Old oak trees and stone pines are common in the suburb and account for its greeness. Pinelands is the "10 minute suburb" - it is literally 10 minutes to everything including beaches, airport, city, tourist attractions, and much, much more besides!
