Location & area

From the International Port of Tangier take a petit taxi to Dar Baroud, this should cost between 20-30 dirhams and take under 10 minutes; from the airport the charge should be between 200-300 dirhams and from Tanger Ville railway station about 15-30 dirhams.
As you pass the gateway to the Hotel Continental turn immediately left into a small square, stop the taxi, get out, cross the square and take the street directly in front; Dar Jameel is at No.6, the third doorway on the left. Alternatively, leave the Port on foot, turn right and second right again entering the medina, after 5 minutes you see the entrance to the Hotel Continental on your right. Proceed as outlined above.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
