Overview

Riad Merdoudi offers four en-suite bedrooms with sculptured ceilings as if in marzipan, crowning moody tadelakt..bathrooms inspired by Philipp Starck with glass cascading handbasins..there are two salons, one intimate and richly canopied and the other open to the courtyard with a papyus filled pond creeping between the marble pillars..the terrace is a great place to have breakfast under the Berber tent and to stay and loll in the sun or to have a g&t at sundown..the cooking classes are indeed fabulous, with the guests chosing the particular feast to be prepared for that evening..lessons in 'souk arabic'and then off to the market, returning home with glistening aubergines wobbling on top of your basket..classes are held in the riad, "Cooking at Riad Merdoudi" and also in the mountains far off the tourist trail, "Cooking in a Village Kitchen"Birthdays, anniversaries and pre-wedding parties are something wonderful to have at the riad..three night packages including the celebration feast, a Shopping Extravaganza,a God and Goddess Pamper Spa, are but beginningsTrips for the day and longer, far off the tourist trail, detouring where we will, a picnic basket, a roadside cafe a marketEdwina, a completely re-invented Austalian and her fabulous staff, promise to give you the time of your life!
