Marrakech, one of the great cities of North Africa, is the gateway to the desert and the Atlas Mountain a Pink City' set against a backdrop of snow capped mountains of the Atlas in an oasis of date palms.

During the French colonisation of Morocco a Ville Nouvelle or new town was added with its wide orange tree and palm lined avenues. Split into two areas, Gueliz and Hivernage the new city is quickly becoming as vibrant as the old; albeit with less character.
