Overview

Pyramids, even the head of the Sphinx and the desert beyond - all these views will take your breath away. The Giza plateau is only 5 minutes drive away and the buzzing Pyramid Street is 5 minutes walk away.Absorb the local sounds and flavours.The apartment was finished and equipped in August 2008 to a very high standard acceptable to Western visitors. A daily cleaning service is offered for a small extra charge. There is a Concierge service. A car and driver can be arranged at a reasonable cost at a daily rate to be agreed. The owner, my husband Alaa, lives across the street and can be contacted at any time. The kitchen has a gas cooker, washing machine, water filter, large fridge/freezer. The apartment could sleep more than 6 if the sofas are used! The 10th floor is the main living area with a lovely open terrace. There is a bath with shower over. The 11th floor has a second kitchen and a shower wet room with a sunbathing area where the views are even better than the 10th floor. Disabled visitors may find it difficult to access the 11th floor.Photos will be posted idc.

Location & area

In the heart of Giza, shops selling local produce, fresh fruit, meat, bread, shisha. Local mosques abound. Street sellers call out their wares. Restaurants (some personally recommended); clubs; belly dancing clubs; hotels (where you can usually use their swimming pools and bar facilities if you ask nicely); horse or camel riding behind the Pyramids with stables near the Sphinx. Saqqara and Bent Pyramids 30-40 mins drive south. Dinner and entertainment on the Nile can also be arranged. Ask Alaa.
